To Miners everywhere….or just Miners in wormholes…

You might have heard about it through the podcast at some point. But since most of the times the guys are half drunk and when i join them they are wasted , i though maybe their mumbling wasn’t clear enough and so I said to myself “You know what, I can attend my calculus class today…or i can sit on my pc and make a post about Gravimetric sites in wormholes, post it on the blog and then achieve something for the day”. Cause let’s face it… I prefer rocks!

So…As i said, you might have heard it already from the podcast but back then it was a rumor. So now that it has been confirmed it is my honor and duty to inform miners in wormhole space that if you are depleting Gravimetric sites in W-space within the first day you trigger them then you FAIL!!!It seems that most of the gravimetric sites that are inside W-space have the unique ability to spawn an extra asteroid on their second day of existence. Yes New Eden you heard me right!

To explain it in details. For those of you who don’t know that already, W-space Gravimetric sites have almost all kinds of minerals, unlike what happens in normal space. That means lots of money since there is always Arkonor, Bistot, Crokite etc in those sites. Now the thing is that the signature will stay up for 3-4 days. But if you got a couple of exhumers or barges you are awesome and you can clear it within a day. But you shouldn’t…

It has been confirmed that leaving a couple of asteroids untouched will force the server to spawn a new asteroid of high quality Ore after the next downtime. I don’t think that any miner out there would mind having an extra fat Spodumain asteroid that holds 75.000 units (that showed up in one of our Unexceptional Frontier Deposit sites). Though you should remember that you should clear the whole site but you must leave an asteroid there. Not the whole rock, just a couple of units are enough. What we do is we leave 30.000 units of Veldspar or something of similar quality so we can spend the minimum time possible on it the day that our “present” form CCP arrives.

Other examples of extra asteroid spawns we have encountered are an extra Mercoxit with 45.000 units on it which spawned in a site called Exceptional Frontier Deposit. I cried that day…It was awesome… An Omber with 200.000 units in it, that was inside a Common Perimeter Deposit . We have also confirmed that the extra asteroid that spawn are random. So if you get an Exceptional Frontier Gravimetric don’t necessarily expect that you will get an extra huge Mercoxit.

Anyways, I hope that info was helpful and you guys put it in good use. GO GO MINERS!!!

I am happy I have a T3 ship and live in wspace

Wspace colonists really can’t catch a break with T3 ships – can we?!

Last night I got myself into some non-consensual PVP… and almost lost my brand new Tengu… and by the looks of it… I might have lost it and never realized that the ship I was flying had a weird bug…

Here is the story:

Planetary Interaction inside W-space.

by Merinid Dormer

What Tyrannis is going to be bringing into the equation…

News have come to our ears about the new expansion that will introduce planetary interaction to the world of New Eden, and of course for us wormhole colonists one question came to mind. “Will we be able to use that feature, or will we be forgotten like we were in Dominion?”

The answer was given by Torfi Frans Ólafsson a Senior Producer at CCP through an interview he gave on Tentonhammer.com and we found out through Ninveah.com by Kirith Kodachi. As he stated “..there are over 65,000 planets in the game. And you can interact with each and every one of them. Including those that are in wormhole space, which can actually be quite challenging”…

Planetary interaction is out to set deeper foundation for the future as it seems. What is going to be built on plants for the months to come is actually the board on which Dust 514 is set to be played. Structures, buildings and upgrades that EVE corporations will be setting up are what the mercenaries of Dust 514 will be seeing when landing on a planet.

Although things are still a little vague on how this is going to happen, what skills are going to be needed and so on, we are hoping that this is going to be massive and will add new features inside w-space. After all that “quite challenging” phrasing was promising. All that remains is to see it in action on SiSi.

Stay tuned for more.

Episode 14

In this episode we manage to stretch a 5 minute story into a 3 hour show, witness QP get wasted on spiked Quafe, and with the help of Merinid Dormer as a special guest recite the events of this year’s Valentine’s Day inside Planet Risk, where the biggest capital fleet battle in w-space to date took place.

We can safely assume that it’s been the most fun we’ve had in this show and warn you about some pretty darn funny (and some disturbing things) coming out on-air.

As always, all musical tracks are from demoscene artists (check out our previous episodes’ shownotes for links to them). All background/talk-over tracks by AlienHand.

Oh and for those who have been asking where they can download Jizz in my Pod and Because of Falcon, we’ve put up a permanent link. It’s on the right hand side of the site, under the “Must visit” section.

Quivering Palm with a steady voice continued, “ Guys, this is it. It’s now or never”.

Quick Update

w00t! I can see the site appearing again and that makes me a happy panda. DNS servers are back up and that means that you can now access the site once again.

We seem to have solved the server issues we had over the past few days… and just in the nick of time as it seems. CrazyKinux is revisiting the EVE Online Blog Pack (if you are reading this blog in your Capsuleer app on your iPhone then you probably are already aware of it) and we’d like you to go over there and show your support.

Regardless of whether we make it to the next version of the Blog Pack, we’ll continue to blog and write guides and all, so no worries there – we do this because we love doing it :-)

I know we haven’t been blogging extensively over the past couple of weeks, but we had quite a few things to deal with. Fortunately, there will be a new corp-member who will start blogging here soon enough, so you’ll be hearing more from the industrialist’s life in wspace.

You will hear all about the Valentine’s Day Massacre – some of you already heard about from various rumors circulating in wspace colonists channel.

Yep, we’ve had a full-blown siege and capital fight in Planet Risk – and we’ll be talking all about it in the upcoming show – this Wednesday 24th of Feb – 21:00 eve time on siradio.fm

stay tuned!
